The who-tool is probably the mightiest tool in @Geckos_Bot. It is a function to search for items with certain item IDs in guild stock and in all guild member stocks (of those who activated API access), or alternatively searching the same stocks for a certain item name or part of an item name. I'll show examples to make it clear:
Contents
Who with item ID
To search by item ID, you need to use the function like: /who_{ID}, for example searching for item ID 21 (Bone powder):
/who_21 Search results for item ID: 21 21: Bone powder (6) @Player1 21: Bone powder (26) @Player2 21: Bone powder (217) ⛺️/g_stock
But that works for parts and recipes, too:
/who_k103 Search results for item ID: k103 k103: 🧩Poniard part (8) @Player3 k103: 🧩Poniard part (1) @Player4 k103: 🧩Poniard part (2) ⛺️/g_stock
Who with item name or parts of names
To use /who to search by names or parts of names, you need to use the format /who searchterm, e.g. searching for "griffin":
/who griffin Search results for: griffin k84: 🧩Griffin Helmet part (1) @Player1 u129: Griffin Gloves (1) @Player2 k91: 🧩Griffin Knife part (1) @Player3 k84: 🧩Griffin Helmet part (11) @Player4 r85: 📃Griffin Boots recipe (6) @Player4 r86: 📃Griffin Gloves recipe (5) @Player4
The actual power of who
Searching by item names or parts of item names gives crazy possibilities. E.g. you can search for "of rage" and check if all your guild members have at least one set of vpb rage. Or you're just curious and do a /who murky and you see who is hoarding those precious potions. But you can also do fun requests, like /who 🏆 (I did not know achievements are counted as items, but they are and you can search for it!) with results like:
Search results for: 🏆 u146: 🏆The Most Attentive Guardian Week #96 (1) @Player5 u147: 🏆The Most Attentive Guardian Week #100 (1) @Player5 u150: 🏆The Most Attentive Guardian Week #108 (1) @Player5 u187: 🏆The Most Attentive Guardian Week #163 (1) @Player5 u193: 🏆The Champion of the Arena Week #144 (1) @Player6 u204: 🏆The Champion of the Arena Week #156 (1) @Player6 u107: 🏆Rising Star Week #66 (1) @Player7
Restricting access to /who
Since this tool is really powerful and some players could not like it, I restricted who can use this function. Per default, only the guild leader can use it (guild leader verified via API). In ⚙️Settings -> ⛺️Guild tools -> 📦Stock search mode, the guild leader can decide who has access to this tool in the guild. Possibilities are:
- Mode 0: The search function is only available to the guild leader.
- Mode 1: The search function is available to guild leader, squires, bartenders and treasurers.
- Mode 2: The search function is available to every guild member.
Summary
This /who tool returns powerful search outputs about the stocks of guild members with activated API. Of course, the access to it is restricted as default setting. Every guild leader can decide for the own guild who gets access to it. Using /who with clever search strings can yield important information, like e.g. which guild member saves which unused gear etc. Or it can be used to make sure that all guild members are equipped with certain items. Or the most simple case: it can be used to look which guild members could help with craft preparations by depositing needed resources or parts/recipes.
