This wiki page covers everything to know about the /mem command. This command is available to every player who reached L50 or higher in his first life. /mem resets the character to L20, lets you choose another class again to be combined with your old class later. You can start leveling up this new class then. At L30 you can get access to the skills of your other/first class. Then you play a hybrid character between two classes. This opens up many possibilities, synergies, etc. Notable and common combinations are for example:

  • Knight/Ranger (Combining crits from knight with aiming from ranger),
  • Knight/Alchemist (Combining sword mastery with high level weapon mastery and very strong combat potions in off hand)
  • Ranger/Collector (Ranger power napping reduces time to regenerate stamina -> more quests in the same time done. But "Gifted Pathfinder" from Collector regenerates stamina in quests. So more quests -> even more stamina regenerated. Best XP-gain, lots of loot due to crazy amount of quests)

It is possible to /mem multiple times. This is a tedious job, but pays off in the end, because the base stats are increased for every time you /mem. The general XP-gain in quests is increased a tiny bit, too. But most important: normally your XP-gain does not increase after L60. With the first mem this "limit" will appear instead on L65, with the second mem, in L70 etc. Furthermore, T5 gear has gear modifiers which give bonuses depending on the number of mems of the player (max 3 times).

Mem preparations

mem requirements:

  • Less than 4000 weight in stock
  • no running auctions (neither as seller nor as buyer)
  • no deals running in exchange
  • not a single piece of equipment equipped. Gear can be unwrapped and simply be stored in the bag (this one here: “🎒Bag: 5/15”), but the actual worn equipment part (🎽Equipment) needs to be empty. This includes rings and amulets, too.

The mem process itself and actions in the first few hours after mem

Directly after using /mem_reborn, you will experience some possibly shocking effects: First of all, your ❤️HP is set to 0. You can’t go questing instantly, because you won't have enough ❤️HP for that. If you really want to quest as soon as possible, you need to help keep the ship clean. The second effect is: your gold is set to 💰0. what you had before as liquid gold is lost and can't be recovered.Third effect is actually very logical: you don’t have a class anymore and therefore your stats are insanely low. Use /level_up twice: First to pick Master/Esquire and second time to pick the final class choice. The fourth's effect is actually a collection of effects, because all visible or invisible counters are reset to zero or removed completely:

  • you can do 5 arena fights again, even if you did 5 before meming already on the same day
  • you can use /sg_{ID} again (sell 75 of one resource type to gain gold) to the gnomes
  • adviser buffs (jaeger, strategist or scout) are removed from your character. You need to wait until the next refresh of the appliance happens, for the effects to return.
  • previously active alliance bonus buffs are removed without replacement
  • even guild leaving and rejoining timer is reset: if you mem during the 24h cooldown before being able to join another guild after you left one, you can directly join a guild again after mem
  • smuggler conspiracy buff is cleared: you don’t have the debuff anymore, meaning that you can do another castle switch without waiting the usual 7 days.
  • Seasonal blessing (stat buff for all players of castle-top #4 to #7 at the end of the season) is removed

Using /mem_reborn creates a debuff effect running 90 day, called "New Life enthusiasm". This is the time you need to wait until you can /mem again. Example timer:

⏳New life enthusiasm ⏰89d21h23m

Please note: After 30 days you can buy a so called “Mesmemorized potion” in the Tavern, which removes this countdown. The costs in 💎diamonds are 2*(number of remaining days of the countdown).

E.g.: ⏳New life enthusiasm ⏰45d22h40m -> rounded to 46 days.
Costs of mesmerized potion: 46days * (2💎/day) = 92💎

A general very /mem gives more skill points compared to a raw character profile. A pure class will get 3 SP/level, no exceptions. A /mem player will get 3SP/level normally, but on levels which can be divided by 5, they’ll get even 4SP (in other words at L25, L30,L35,L40…).

Level 20 to Level 30

Be prepared emotionally that the leveling process between 20 and 30 is pretty dry. You’re bound to the single /mem class without having the synergies of a double class. And most skills helping with an increased XP-gain only start at L22 or L24 or are extremely weak at low levels:

  • Alchemist:
    • “Long Life”: increasing max stamina by 1 per level in /skill_ll helping with full stamina problems, /skill_ll 1 unlocks at L22
    • "Wise Alchemist": giving daily bonus XP for brewing potions: /skill_wal unlocks at L22
  • Ranger has two relevant skills for increased XP gain:
    • “Power Napping”: decreasing regeneration time for stamina: starts at L24, /skill_pn 1 at L24
    • “Perceptive Seeker”: enabling so called ‘fire quests’: in quest overview randomly picked quest types are assigned with the fire/XP icon. If you follow these quests, you’ll get more XP than normally in quests. /skill_ps 1 unlocks at L20.
Example quest type:
🏔Mountain Valley 4min 🔥
Watch out for landslides.
  • Collector: “Gifted Pathfinder”: regeneration of stamina in quests, starts at L20, but is extremely weak and doesn’t trigger often. /skill_gp 1 at L20
  • Knight: “Pledge to Protect”: allows to /pledge after successful forays randomly, delivering materials and xp every 2 hours unless you fail to catch a foray at one point. /skill_ptp 1 unlocks at L24.
  • Blacksmith: “Educated Technician”: stays at ET2 at L20, just as unlocked before as master anyway. No class specific extra XP bonus until L22. /skill_et 3 unlocks at L22
  • Sentinel: “Protector”: enables receiving trader offers after successfully stopped forays, trading resources or herbs for gold and lots of XP. /skill_prt unlocks at L24
Example trader message:
You defended villagers well. In exchange for your help, local trader offered you a deal you can't refuse. He is going to buy some of your resources for whole 2💰 per item. However, he is leaving to distant lands and his caravan can only carry 168.

To accept his offer, use /sc {code} {quantity}. And try not to turtle. He can only wait so much.
  • Honest review: overall the XP gain until L30 is frustrating and dull. Be prepared.
  • BUT: trust me, it’s worth it, it gets so much better later! It’s an investment in future game play

Level 30 to Level 50

At L30, a whole new world opens up. You can use the command /mes, which allows to pick another secondary class to combine with your current main class. Available /mes classes are all characters/profiles that you previously played until L50 or higher. Example:

Decided to remember something right here? Focus at your spoon!
⚔️Batman lvl.50 /mes_0
📦Spider Man lvl.50 /mes_1
🏹Captain America lvl.57 /mes_2
⚔️Hulk lvl.65 /mes_3
🏹Iron Man lvl.80 /mes_4

Pick one of the available /mes profiles. Then you can skill everything of your primary and your secondary class.

Example /level_up command directly after /mes for a Ranger/Collector

Level 50 and the decision of stacking more mems

  • Reaching L50 is a very important moment in the /mem process. Now you need to decide what to do:
    1. /mem again to stack more stat and XP bonus
    2. play your character to higher levels
  • Both options have their own advantages and disadvantages.

  1. /mem again:
    • every time you /mem, your base stats get increased by 5%. So you’ll be visibly stronger than players with no mem cycles or less mem cycles.
    • every time you /mem, the XP you get in quests is increased a tiny amount. You’ll level up faster
    • e.g. meming three times and leveling the third time to L80 is faster than meming fewer times and trying to get to 80. So stacking up /mems is worth it.
    • modifiers on T5 gear are multiplied by the number of /mem cycles you went through (maximum three, only T5 cloaks have modifiers depending on how high enchanted the item is). In this example the manticore armor here has a maximum of around 150HP bonus for collectors:
Item: ⚡️+6 Manticore Armor +29⚔️ +65🛡
Quality: Masterpiece
Condition: Normal
Modifiers:
   📦 Hp x Reborn: 50.08
     ╰ max x 3
    • TL;DR: having at least three /mem cycles is required to gain the maximum bonus from T5 gear. But stacking up even more /mems gives even more stat and XP bonus.
  1. Leveling up to higher levels:
    • There is a tiny problem with having playing profiles with characters only L50 or in general not very high. E.g. view from /hero:
 ⚔️📦⁷¹Class info: /class
    • In this example: If you play your profile higher than L71, with the main class kinght, as soon as you’ll reach L72, you won’t get access to collector skills of that level. You can only access skills of your /mes class up to the level of your /mes class. ** E.g. You could skill “Picky Eater 5” (unlocks for collectors at L70), but if you play further, reach L75 eventually, you won’t be able to skill “Picky Eater 6” (normally unlocking at L75 for collectors). But since your /mes class is lower, you can’t skill it.
    • Obviously, if you want to play a certain /mem-/mes combination to high levels, it is very useful to have a /mes profile with a high level, too.
    • Personally, I’d advise to stack up at least 3 mems, before considering leveling to high levels. The leveling speed is that much more profitable, that you should not skip it.

Level 50 to Level 79

  • There are some special circumstances about the XP gain at higher levels for mem-players. A non mem-player in the first and primary profile can level up and the XP-gain in quests and battles increases until L60. After that, the XP-gain will just stay as it was at L60. But the required XP to level up increase a lot. This slows down the level up speed significantly.
  • If you /mem one time though, the XP-gain will increase even further: until L65.
This means, that instead of around 900-1000XP/quest as received at L60, you’ll receive 2800-3000XP/quest.
  • If you /mem two times, the XP-gain will increase even further: until L70.
This means, that instead of around 900-1000XP/quest as received at L60, or around 2800-3000XP/quest with a single /mem cycle, you’ll get around 5000-6000XP/quest.
  • If you /mem theee times, the XP-gain will increase even further: until L75.
The average XP-gain in quests is over 10000XP
  • If you /mem even more times, the XP-gain increase is not researched and confirmed yet. But it can be assumed that the XP-gain will increase even until L80.
  • Over L50, you’ll have access to the advanced class skills. They are expensive in terms of SP (most of them cost 3SP/skill-level). But they also provide very strong effects. Knights can crit higher, Rangers can reach higher aiming bonus, Sentinels unlock access to “Lucky Defender” (similar to critical hits, but giving +50% defense randomly).
  • The master classes all get a skill to get rid of surplus resources/herbs:
    • Collector: “Picky Eater”: gives possibility to reject getting certain resources in quests, even providing loot rerolls. Aka: reject silver ore, get more chances for parts and recipes since the loot slots of the silver ore are re-evaluated and give extra chances for valuable items.
    • Blacksmith: “Mighty Golem”: use up around 400 of one resource/herb and 300mana and get a ‘golem’ for 8hours. It increases your attack and defense stats significantly.
    • Alchemist: “Herbs Transmutation”: Use 50 of a chosen herb type and transmute to another herb type. Here: 50 Plexisop -> 8 Storm Hyssop
/use_trm 67 48

Transmutation complete.
Earned: Storm Hyssop x 6

This way you can reduce trash herbs and get more of the valuable herbs.

L80 - the current Level Cap --/mem again, nothing to see here

Once you reach level 80, you have hit the current level-cap, the experience cap is a bit later at 35.000.000 which you can overshoot once. After that you no longer get experience from quests, battle of the seven castles and the like. Battle reports after this point no longer display experience gain in them, but quests still show it - but don’t give XP. From this moment on you no longer need to focus on maximizing experience, most classes now prefer Forays to obtain the more expensive loot that can be found there (T5 rage and peace scrolls). A notable exception are Collectors, because they still find parts and recipes in the normal quest locations.

The other option is to /mem again, of course. Level 80 profiles are granted bonus skill points when taken as a secondary class (as /mes class); these bonuses consist of 1 more skill point at levels 35, 45, 55, 65, and 75. In total a L80 /mes class will provide 5SP more.

About the XP-Gain for /mem-players

First of all, it is important to understand how the XP-gain for mono-class players works and how it increases while leveling up. Let's say with L20 you get on average 20XP per quest. With L30 it's around 40XP/quest. This increases until L60. The average XP-gain from quests or arena etc. is around 800-1000XP/action. After L60, the XP-gain does not increase anymore. But the requirements how much XP are needed to level up increase even more. One could basically say, that this is a soft level cap.

But meming has wonderful effects on this XP-gain cap at L60. The first /mem makes the XP-gain increase until L65, which is already a significant difference to a mono-class player's XP gain. The second <cod>/mem lets the XP increase until L70 and the third until L75. It is suspected that the fourth /mem cycle will have increased XP until L80.

The differences in the daily XP gain at high levels are shocking:

/mem-amount Average XP gain at high levels
0 25000
1 85000
2 200000
3 400000
4 ?
